Paul G. Kelly to lead Hawaii campus of Gateway Seminary
ONTARIO, Calif. – Gateway Seminary has announced the appointment of Paul G. Kelly as the new director of its Hawaii campus. The appointment advances the seminary's partnership with the Hawaii Pacific Baptist Convention (HPBC), approved by Gateway trustees in October 2025, with classes set to begin in fall 2026.
Iorg to graduates: Learn from ‘pandemic experiences’ by imitating Christ
ONTARIO, Calif. (BP) – Unable to conduct an in-person commencement exercise because of the coronavirus pandemic, Gateway Theological Seminary instead celebrated its Spring graduation ceremonies online May 22. In an address to graduates, Gateway President Jeff Iorg identified three ministry challenges created or revealed by the COVID-19 pandemic: increased isolation, unabashed selfishness and improper ministry priorities. He said although the severity of these difficulties may change as the pandemic ends, the lessons learned by overcoming them will be relevant through a lifetime of ministry service.
Reaccreditation affirmed for Gateway Seminary
ONTARIO, Calif. (BP) -- The Western Association of Senior Colleges and Universities Commission (WSCUC) officially affirmed reaccreditation for Gateway Seminary on March 4. Highlights of the commission's report included a reaccreditation period of 10 years and praise for educational excellence. It also singled out the online program as "a high quality program that exhibits the best practices in distance education."
