WINGATE, N.C. (BP)–Wingate University senior point guard Lorinza Harrington led the Bulldogs to an 87-83 overtime win over North Carolina Central University in Cuddy Arena.
Harrington had 12 points, 13 assists, six steals and two blocks as the Bulldogs improved to 7-2 overall. The victory was Wingate’s 18th in a row at home, dating to last season.
Wingate sophomore guard Keenan Dunn paced the Bulldogs with 18 points. Junior guard Djuan Hankins added 17 points, including two huge three-pointers as Wingate rallied late in regulation.
For North Carolina Central (1-6 overall), junior forward David Covington exploded for 18 points and 23 rebounds. Sophomore guard Gary Cobb led the Eagles with a game-high 19 points.
