TRUSTEES: SBTS adopts gender, sexuality statementLOUISVILLE, Ky. (BP) -- Southern Baptist Theological Seminary trustees unanimously approved a recommendation to adopt The Nashville Statement as an official part of the school's confessional documents Monday (Oct. 9) during its fall meeting.

TRUSTEES: Montreal's need, progress highlight NAMB meetingMONTREAL, Quebec, Canada (BP) -- North American Mission Board trustees gathered Oct. 2-4 in Montreal to hear reports of the progress new church plants are making there and to witness the reality of the deep lostness that is believed to make this Canadian city the least-reached part of North America.
"It is a bit hostile to the Gospel," Gerry Taillion, executive director of the Canadian National Baptist Convention, told NAMB trustees. "But slowly and surely, we will win them."

TRUSTEES: IMB celebrates missionaries, approves balanced budgetRIDGECREST, N.C. (BP) -- International Mission Board trustees gathered at Ridgecrest Conference Center Sept. 11-13 to celebrate more than 25,000 years of service by emeritus missionaries while approving the appointment of 51 new personnel to take the Gospel to unreached people and places.

TRUSTEES: ERLC seeking to equip churchesNASHVILLE (BP) -- The Southern Baptist Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission is committed to equipping churches to produce justice, holiness and reconciliation with the Gospel of Jesus, Russell Moore told the entity's trustees at their annual board meeting.
Moore, the ERLC's president, made his comments during a report to the ERLC board during its Aug. 23-24 meeting at Nashville's Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center.
