Charles W. Draper, beloved scholar-teacher, dies at 70LOUISVILLE, Ky. (BP) -- Charles W. Draper, a professor of Boyce College and chair of the school's department of biblical studies, died from a heart attack June 25. He was 70.

Record 467 degrees awarded at Southern's commencementLOUISVILLE, Ky. (BP) -- Ministers of the Gospel are not partakers in a career, but recipients of a divine calling, R. Albert Mohler Jr. said in his commencement address May 19 to the 2017 graduates of Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
During 219th commencement exercises on the seminary lawn, 318 master's and doctoral students received degrees. A week earlier, 149 Boyce College students graduated, with the combined 467 degrees representing the largest commencement in Southern Seminary's history. Read More

Pizza delivery attack leads student to forgiveLOUISVILLE, Ky. (BP) -- A Boyce College student who was stabbed and carjacked outside an emergency room while making a pizza delivery says he forgives his attacker.
Josh Lewis, 19, has been employed at Spinelli's Pizzeria since last August and is a sophomore at Boyce, the undergraduate school of Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Ky. While delivering a pizza to the emergency room downtown at Norton Hospital on Sunday (May 3), he says a man confronted him outside his car and demanded his keys. When Lewis noticed the man had a knife, he dropped the keys and ran toward the hospital. But Lewis says the man caught up with him and stabbed him in the back before taking off with his black Jeep Cherokee and the pizza inside the car. Read More
