B&H releases Beth Moore, Chip Hilton series books


NASHVILLE, Tenn. (BP)–Two new Beth Moore books and the final installment of the Chip Hilton Series are among the 12 titles being released by Broadman & Holman Publishers in August. B&H is the trade publishing division of LifeWay Christian Resources of the Southern Baptist Convention.

General nonfiction:

— “Jesus the One and Only” by Beth Moore provides an intimate look at Christ. Readers are encouraged to pursue a relationship with Jesus by reading about his earthly experiences.

— “Praying God’s Word Devotional Journal,” based on Beth Moore’s book, “Praying God’s Word,” presents devotional thoughts and prayers from Moore and provides space for writing thoughts.

— “Rich Mullins: An Arrow Pointing to Heaven” by James Bryan Smith, is now available in paperback. The book gives readers a look at the spiritual life of the well-known Christian singer-songwriter.

— “The Problem of Life with God” by Tommy Nelson is an in-depth study of Solomon and the Book of Ecclesiastes.

— “Getting Deep: Understand What You Believe About God and Why” by Gregg R. Allison is a new book in the TruthQuest youth line. An associate professor of theology and church history at Western Seminary in Portland, Ore., Allison writes about Christian theology and worldview at a student’s level of comprehension.

Fiction:

— “Robert E. Lee” by John J. Dwyer is his sequel to “Stonewall,” both historical novels about the Civil War. Dwyer tells the story about how Lee, once a general in the Confederate Army, grappled with disappointment, broken dreams and health problems.

— “Fiery Fullback,” the 24th and final installment of the Chip Hilton Sports Series by Clair Bee, follows Chip in his senior year at State University.

Additionally, five volumes of the “Word & Song: Greatest Bible Stories Ever Told” product line have been released: “Amazing Miracles,” “Prayer and Promise,” “Friendship and Kindness,” “Children in the Bible” and “The Good Shepherd.” Each book comes with a CD that contains the narrated text and songs by the Wonder Kids Choir.
