Georgetown routs Campbellsville, notching 26th straight victory


GEORGETOWN, Ky. (BP)–Quarterback Eddie Eviston racked up 256 yards and five touchdowns in the first half, and both Brandon Midkiff and Tucker McEwen turned in three-touchdown performances as the No. 1 Georgetown College Tigers (12-0, 7-0 MSC) overpowered No. 15 Campbellsville University (10-3, 5-2 MSC) on Saturday.

The Tigers won their 26th consecutive game after downing CU by a final of 79-6 to advance to the NAIA semifinals.

The 76 points marked a season-high for the Tigers and is the highest point total for GC since 1991. It also marked the fourth-highest point total in Georgetown College history and set a new GC playoff high as well. The Tigers averaged 2.4 points per minute, holding the ball for 31:20 on the day.
